PERSONAL DEFENSE TRAINING

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY?

IN THE HOME DEFENSIVE TRAINING (L2)

Prerequisites: Valid CCDW Permit

An 8 hour course that will teach you how to effectively react within your own home. Using hands on simulated intruder scenarios we will teach you how to control your fear and react with both a weapon and close quarters combat.

OUT OF THE HOME DEFENSIVE TRAINING (L3)

Prerequisites: Valid CCDW Permit

An 8 hour course that will teach you how to effectively react when you are outside of your home. Perfect for runners, cyclists, real estate agents or anyone who just wants to be prepared. Through hands on simulated attack scenarios we will teach you situational awareness, how to control your fear and how to react with both a weapon and close quarters combat.

SELF DEFENSE FOR CROSSFITTERS

Prerequisites: at least 6 mos. CrossFit experience

A 4 hour course that combines common CrossFit movements with the S.P.E.A.R. protocol. This is a non-weaponized course and utilizes hands on close quarters defense tactics, teaching situational awareness and how to control your fear.

KY CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE TRAINING (L1)

An 8 hour, hands on course which provides you with the basis for becoming a competent concealed carrier. This course is the first step in obtaining your KY CCDW permit.

Prerequisites: Valid CCDW Permit, L2 and L3

For the advanced gun user, this class will further develop tactical skills using not only hand guns but S.P.E.A.R. system self defense and larger weapons such as shot guns and assault rifles.

ADVANCED PERSONAL DEFENSE/CCDW TRAINING (L4)

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Christopher brings with him 21 years of Military Leadership, weapons training, self-defense training, and real time high stress combat experience. Christopher’s first 5 years of Military experience was as a Military Police Officer stationed in Berlin Germany and as a Corrections Non Commissioned Officer in the Special Housing Unit at Ft Leavenworth Kansas. During that time he was a patrolman, patrol shift leader, SHU (special housing unit) shift leader, Special Reaction Team (SRT) Team leader (non-lethal chemical), and was deployed to a combat zone as a team leader (Bosnia 95-96). Later in his career he attended Officer Candidate school and became a commissioned Officer. Duties were Platoon Leader, Detachment Commander, and Officer in Charge of a Pre-Mobilization team (PTAE) which developed and executed the way that Kentucky National Guard Units train for and deploy to combat. He deployed to Iraq from 2005-2006 as the Executive Officer D/149th Infantry. As the Executive Officer he was second in charge of a forward deployed Infantry Unit. He has lead numerous combat missions which included close combat missions as well as house to house clearance missions. He ended his career as Commander, D Company 1/149 IN. During the course of his career he has developed training plans (Standing Operating Procedures) for weapons training, escalation in the use of force, building clearing, and Non-lethal weapons use (Taser and pepper spray) in a Tactical and non-tactical environment from an individual/team (3 persons) level up to Battalion level (500+ persons). He has worked extensively with local, state, and National law enforcement agency not only in America but in many nations ensuring the safety of civilians and their property.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

INSTRUCTOR

Michael brings nearly 24 years of public safety experience combined in public law enforcement, corrections and firearms training. Michael served as Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Accreditation Manager and Trainer and currently serves as a Probation Officer for the 28 th Judicial Circuit in Somerset, Kentucky. During the course of his career he has developed training curriculums and has been directly responsible for the coordination and development of training courses in firearms, self-defense, active shooter response and program development and updates. He has conducted over 100 class room and hands-on training courses, workshops and presentations to a varied audience outside law enforcement, including business owners, public school staff, civic groups and private individuals. In his spare time, he is an outdoor enthusiast, avid runner and lifelong learner.
